5:00 Kick off the weekend with great music and a pig roast in Central Park! The evening gets started at 5:00 with food and entertainment.

6:30 - 8:15 Extra Stout performs

Extra Stout is a traditional Irish band that has been in existence, in one form or another, for close to fifteen years. Members of the band have expertise in musicianship and in Irish culture. Extra Stout plays the full gamut of Irish music: dance tunes; slow airs; marches; composed music; ballads; drinking songs; rebel songs; sean nos; chanteys, Irish punk, etc., etc. Extra Stout is a one-band Irish festival.

You won't want to miss them. Bring the family, bring your blanket, and enjoy the music.

10:00 - 11:30 Participate in workshops led by local artists and talented folks. Select from the varied list and perhaps you'll discover you have a new talent!

It's Summer - sunflower time in Brandon! You've seen them growing in the fields and popping up all over town. Now it's your turn to make one of your own!

Cookie Decorating Chef Louis of the Brandon Inn

Chef Louis, of the Brandon Inn, will demonstrate decorating techniques on fresh baked sugar cookies. Participants can enjoy "hands-on" decorating, then "eat" your creation!

Bug Me! Kathy Hirschberger

Come be creative! Come observe our insect friends! Each participant will make a bug catcher to use and take home.

Make a Pot! Plant a Pot! Jessica Davis

Make and paint your own starter planter pot then plant with a sunflower.

Learn the art of wildcrafting in Vermont. Sample wild food dishes.

Face Painting Boys & Girls Club

Have fun learning face painting techniques and bring a friend to practice with. Or just get your face painted.

All that Jazz! Bobbi Hutchins

Get dancing with Bobbi! The group will learn a variety of dance moves, including jazz and hip hop.

 

Astronomy Planetarium Kim Faber

Create constellations and display them in a blow up bubble planetarium right in the park!
